As a Rutgers graduate I do understand that it’s University not UniverseCity. That was done intentionally.
There is Red Sox Nation, Yankees Universe, now RU. Rutgers UniverseCity.
A place where everyone bleeds scarlet, cars are adorned with Block R logos and the tallest buildings and bridges are always shining Scarlet Red. A Greg Schiano monument stands in City Hall next to the Brian Leonard Library and every street is named after a player former or present.
